I guess it’s now trendy to call every adoption of a black child by white parents a “Blind Side” adoption? That’s about as high-minded as seeing every interracial couple as a “Real-life ‘Jungle Fever’ couple!”
Question: do people do this in other aspects of life? Do you see websites or newspapers (remember those?) with pictures of a wealthy Indian man pictured with the caption “Real-life ‘Slumdog Millionaire’? Or”Tom Hanks’s son, Chet “Chet Haze“ Hanks, captioned with the words “Real-life ‘8 Mile’ asshole?”
Is it wrong to think that it’s a racial thing? Or should I chalk it up to good ol’ fashioned MSN News stupidity? Is it a ploy for more page views to pander to people wanting a feel-good story of white people rescuing a poor black person from themselves, or is it MSN News being ignant?

Okay, it’s MSN being stupid. Carry on.
