MEMO: Florida Termination of Statehood

RE:          Termination of Statehood

This notice is being sent to inform you that the United States of America (“USA”) has made the difficult decision to secede you from the rest of the country. While an exact date is to be determined for the secession, it is anticipated that your membership in the Union will terminate on or before December 31, 2013. The exact date of your secession will be communicated to you at a later date. This loss of citizenship is expected to be permanent.

Your rights under the Constitution will terminate on the last day of the month in which your citizenship ends. However, your populace and dependents can choose to receive continuation of U.S. citizenship in the remaining 49 states of the Union. Such continuation of citizenship shall be yours to attain at your own expense, and it shall be subject to the requirements, conditions and limitations of citizenship in the USA, which may be amended from time to time. Further citizenship information will also be provided to you under separate cover.

USA has not yet determined whether to provide severance pay in connection with this particular secession. You will be provided with additional information at a later time. You will continue to be bound by the terms and provisions of the Constitution of the United States of America.

We invite your citizens to apply for residences in another one of our states. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at 1-800-872-7859. On behalf of the USA, we regret that this action is necessary.
